The G C Surana Drishti Eye Bank, at Dr. Solanki Eye Hospital is recognised by the Eye Bank Association of India and is registered under the Transplant of Human Organs Act (THOA).
In India 1.1 million people suffer from corneal blindness.
Eyes need to be donated within 6-8 hours of death.
Anyone can be a donor, irrespective of age, sex, blood group or religion.
